October 2016 meetings
Meetings have been held in the last 2 Sundays, one at Rugeley, one at short Heath.
Adam Bradbury started his season with 3 games; 0-0 and then 2-0 away to Sean Bradbury on the real baize "Surrey Stadium", and then gave unbeaten leader Mike a hot time with all out attacking but went down 1-3 due to Mike counter-attacks on the break cost Adam dearly.
Mike Bradbury went up to Clayton, in the Potteries, and played home player Andy Bowler (6-1) and Kidderminster man Russ Watkins who took Paul Bailey's place and despite beaten 7-1, gave an enthusiastic performance.Sadly Nick Lampitt was unable to go.
At the new Astrostadium in Short Heath, Aldridge's Paul Hill played some county championship group 2 games, holding Kevin Davies goal-less, but a rare penalty goal cost him all the points against Maca Niles. Niles then lost 0-1 to a late Davies goal, and the Pelsall man heads the table on 4pts.
Justin Scott and Pete Sleeth drew 0-0 in group 3 with both players showing a level of performance way above anyone else bar Mike Bradbury this season, and unless Nick Lampitt can play his games off before the end of February, then the title will be between Scott, Bradbury and Sleeth next April. The South Staffs TSC now has 17 people who have played at least once this season, 14 of them in the league ladder.
