Latest meeting at the Niles-Davies Stadium
With their new home board making its debut, Kevin and Theo Davies hosted a great meeeting at the end of August when Maca Niles, Ian Sharpe and Ben Chance were in attendance. Each player player the other 4, and suprise event winnner on 7pts was young Theo. As expected, goals were at a premium, as both Maca and Kevin are fast becoming 0-0 draw specialists. A superb 10 matches were payed off with the following scorelines-
Kevin 0-1 Theo Kevin 1-0 Ian Theo 1-0 Maca Ben 0-1 Maca Theo 1-2 Ian Ben 0-0 Ian Ian 0-0 Maca Kevin 0-1 Ben
Theo 0-0 Ben Kevin 0-0 Maca
Event table -
Theo Davies (Hannover 96) 4 2 1 1 3-2 7pts
Maca Niles (Boca Jnrs) 4 1 2 1 1-1 5
Ian Sharpe (Wolves) 4 1 2 1 2-2 5
Ben Chance (WBA) 4 1 2 1 1-1 5
Kevin Davies (Borussia MGB) 4 1 1 2 1-1 4
Those results were added into the league ladder, resulting in everyone moving up into the top half of the table, with Theo leaping up to 4th place. With Ben now getting 4 games under his belt, it just remains for Adam Bradbury (LA Galaxy) to kickstart his season, and for John Griffiths (Walsall Town-Swifts) and Lee Morrall (Walsall) to play some more games, probably in Rugeley in the next week or so. Another new stadium has come into being, at Pendeford, Wolverhampton, as Justin Scott will christen his new Pendeford Astroground in early September. With the boards at Short Heath and Rugeley using real snooker baize, this gives an interesting mix for South Staffs TSC members.
