FIVE TURNOUT FOR SHORT HEATH MEETING
Mike Bradbury hosted a club meeting on 9th August, and Justin Scott ,former Midlands Youth champion from Pendeford turned out, along with Kevin Davies and his son from Bloxwich, and new player Ian Sharpe from Pelsall. Games were just 10 minutes because there were 2 players making their debut. Two boards were used and 9 games were played off, all with close results. Best results of the night was Kevin's 0-0 with Justin, and Justin worthy of a draw against Mike but not quite getting the goal he threatened. An amazing 19 people have so far taken part in matches, with Ben Chance still to come, and Justin Scott believes he can rustle up another 2 or 3 players. Four months ago, there were just 5 of us!
