SCOUTING FOR SUBBUTEO?
Further talks between Mike Bradbury and Bloxwich, Walsall and Short Heath scout leaders are showing great promise, as the idea of Mike staging a series of tournaments in scout halls has been well recieved and if this goes ahead, not only could the dormant Staffordshire Junior Championship have a substantial entry, but there could well be a club/ league started up in each scout group.
Also, former Midlands Youth champion Justin Scott (Wton) is visiting Mike on Tuesday night 9/8/16 to play some games and blow off some twenty year old cobwebs! With Mike having made contact with several former Wolverhampton TSC members (Chris Short, Dean Whittaker, Ian Reid, Perry Robinson, Owen Turner) there is hope that a new and strong club could be started up. Possible names might include - Black Country Bullets, Midland Masters, Wolves Aces.
